After mountain biking in Williamsburg yesterday I checked out the store there.Pets and Reefs.I was in the store for 1/2 an hour and did'nt see any employees.The phone kept ringing and someone was answering it,but still did'nt see anyone.I wanted to get something,but finally gave up and left.The fish looked healthy,as did most everything else.Prices were average too.All the corals I saw were softies and a few lps.Inverts too.

Wow...Noone home huh??? Everytime i go in there ANNETTE the owner is always there... They also own the flower shop NExt door.. she may have had to run next door for something... Im sorry about your bad experiance...... I havent had one like that yet.. They are kinda laid back in the business aspect though..Heck they even will take a couple bucks off if you catch your own fish! :)

Me?I live in Norfolk by the airport.I did'nt think of my visit as a bad experience,just struck me as odd that I did'nt see anyone.I could hear voices in the back when they answered the phone though.

Oh!I moved....I live by the airport now;) Seriously though,I would like to get with you sometime and check out your calcium reactor.That is if I can't make it to the meeting.I just added some monti caps to my system.My ca levels are good,and I will continue to monitor them,but might want to add some more stuff later.

Hey Giantxtc,

I visited Pets and Reefs yesterday. I met the owners, a guy and his mom who are enthusiastic and friendly folks. All inverts and fish were in good shape, though selection was limited at the time. They blame it on the Tsunami since their transhipper deals only with Indonesian collectors. There were about 5 or 6 other customers in the store buy critters at the time I was there.
I'll be going back.
