If anyone has been looking for it I was at Oddballs today and he had 3 nice pieces of Acanthastrea Lordhowensis for sale. Although it was pricey I picked up a rather nice piece. It has 6 polyps and 3 half polyps. Of the other pieces he had, one had 3 polyps, but I think he said it was spoken for already, and the other had 6 or 7 polyps. I'll post a pic below. Reef on!

$550 for the bigger one...are prices a secret on here or something?? lol
You can find them cheaper on here at times, but you have to go through shipping, etc. No one else local has these things that I know of so someone will probably buy it.

SexyNoJutsu, Soonerbolt is correct 550 for the big one and around 250 for the small one. Sorry so slow to reply I have been out of town all week-end. I was in there this evening and he got a ton of stuff in. I came home with some new lime green zoos. Scott's shop is quickly becomeing my favorite. He has some great looking LR in there right now. Anyways....Reef on!

As the guilty one who sold scott his Acans I have to admit I've got several heads more in varying sizes and was going to do online selling but if anyone local wants one let me know. Around 60$/head but will talk trades etc...always looking for a new frag. BTW....Scotts store is hooking up real well...He and Gena are real committed to bringing some exotic here to T-Town..That's what we need in my opinion. Anyone can ship in brown/ugly coral but noone out there seems to have shown interest in Exotics. I've got several Tyree and Tubs exotics to get him started from the propagation standpoint so my challenge is for anyone else out there reading to help our local LFS step up the level of quality coming in!

Remeber the days of high priced acans. Its amazing how the trends and pricing have gone.Just like tubs blue zoos 20 bucks per.I guess if you wait long enough the price will come down.

Very nice. How many polyps did it start out as, was it fragged between when you got it and now, and how long ago did you get it?

It had like 6 polyps originally. This piece was fragged twice and it currently has I would guess 15 polyps.

New OMAS Rule ... when an acan exceeds 10 polyps, it must be fragged immediately !!

ReeferKeith

Did I say 15? What I really meant was there are only 7 on there. ;)

Hey oddballs, I dont target feed the acans at all. They catch whatever floats by.
