MASLAC February Meeting!

Hi Everyone!

MASLAC will hold their monthly meeting on Saturday, February 12 at 6:30 p.m. at Chevy's Restaurant in Encino. This month Bryan Green, our own resident acrylic fabrication mad man, will be presenting his tank and system which features some innovative DIY components.

Following Bryan, our featured speaker will be Carl Demetropoulos. Carl will be speaking about macro algae bio filtration. He will discuss the various uses of macro algae as a nutrient export mechanism.

This is an important meeting because we will be discussing the possibility of MASLAC submitting a bid to host the 2006 MACNA conference here in Los Angeles.

You can join on the spot and get into the facility. MASLAC membership is $30.00 a year.

Ask for Nadine or Kathy (they are handling the Membership duties for MASLAC right now) tommorrow. They can hook you up!

Are you expecting a huge turnout?
I'm going to talk to hubby and see if he's interested in going. I wouldn't mind picking up some WS rock, that's for sure. Besides, I'm happy to learn of groups that aren't in OC. All the reefers are in OC!

BTW- does the membership have to be paid in cash, or check? Just need to know because hubby just went to the bank today. He might not like going back again.

Don't know how big a turnout there will be. Might be big since it stopped raining!

You can write a check to join MASLAC.

It is CASH ONLY for Pacific Aqua Farms.

last time at fish heads, its was a nice turnout around 30 or so people (be sure to get there early to get first dibs)

I spoke to Dave B today, who was at PAF and Reefer Madness...He said that RM has some INSANE stuff...! Really good stuff! And PAF is in good shape, too.
