sarasota sand

im moving back to S. Florida soon and promised to set a reef tank up for my mother in law. her heart's desire is to have sarasota's fine white sand covering the bottom of the tank.

has anyone used this sand?
are their any considerations to be made?
any input is appreciated.

Just rinse it well before using it.

it'll be fine but go out at least a mile offshore when you collect to avoid beach pollutents.
