Mike I cannot remember if this is what your piles looked like or if you have conchs in your tank... this reminded me and I wondered if it is the same thing,,,,,, whatever happened anyway? Did they just go away or what?

Yup, Just went away. I've noticed a smaller pile recently in a different place. It does not look like the pic in that thread. Mine look like a pile of rice. The pic in the tread looks to me like something burrowing. I still have no idea where they're comming from.
