Coral ID

A week or so before Christmas I was in Michigan and picked up an SPS frag for $15. They had them under 660w VHOs, the same as I use so I thought I would give one a try. If I remember how to do it, I am posting before and after. The first photo was from around the 15th of Dec. the second about 3-4 weeks later. It is green with purple tips, although I have made no attempts at identification, it appears it will grow under VHOs, although perhaps not optimum conditions. http://image.inkfrog.com/pix/hyposis/A_frag.JPG

Unfortunately it's next to impossible to properly id most sps corals. I would say that it is probably a purple w/ green tipped acro though. ;) Seriously though, it looks like it could end up being a tricolor.

yep looks like a nice acro :D

Acropora is as far as id feel comfortable with the ID.

Looks great and I agree it may be a tri-color of some type.
