Home depot has it up here in Green Bay - Its the one on the east side. It is outside in the garden department. I bought 5 bags of it. Its the Castle play sand - same stuff as southdown.

How much is left, and how much was it per bag? If the price is right I wouldn't mind just buying up the rest of the stock so local reefers will have a source. I looked all over WI for this stuff this summer and ended up buying Aragamax at $19.00 a bag.

And where is the HD located in GB on the East side? It's not the one right off of 41 is it?

Yes - Same sand as what is in the 120 right now

No the one of of 41 is on the west side. It is the home depot of off I43. Take I41 to Highway 171 along the lower edge of town, Merge on to I43. Its the first exit - Manitowoc Road - after you merge onto I43. You can see the sign and building from the highway. Address is 2595 Eaton Rd Green Bay - use mapquest if you are not sure on Greenbay layout. It is on a pallet on the ground. Go into the building, turn left, go past the plants, go through the doors to the outside part of the landscaping department, turn right, go straight back to the last pallet stack. It should be right there.

Can't remember what the price per bag was (maybe 8 or 9 dollars) but it wasn't anywhere near what they would charge you at a LFS. I think there was probably about 20 or 30 bags left.

I'll probably stop up there on Sunday since I'm paying Aquabucket a visit and buying some corals from his store, Animal Adventures. Im not sure if I want to go bare bottom on my new 120 or not, but I'll buy 6-8 bags anyways. If anyone in Oshkosh wants some let me know.

I could always use a few bags. let me know what you want to do as far as money is concerned. I would like to buy enough so that there is no shortage of the stuff come summer or when I decide to upgrade to a bigger tank (which should be any minute now!)

I was also thinking of taking a trip up to GB on Sunday.

Is there anything special you need to do to prep the sand before adding to the tank,or is a quick wash and scoop it in ok? I have a 300g tankthat the previous owner mixed activated carbon in with the crushed dolomite. I sick of looking at it.

Yikes, why would someone do that?

I usually rinse the sand really really really well (until stirring it yields no cloudiness). Some folks will tell you not to rinse it but I havent seen any difference between rinsed and unrinsed sand.
