My opinion...

As a beginner to RC, it seems to me that the main portion, the focus, the centre of RC is the message board. Therefore, I think it should be more prominent on the main page. At first, I didn't see the link on the main page directly to the boards.

The eye looks for a navigation bar, at the bottom. I don't think you should have to navigate though more than one page to reach you destination. As I did when I did not notice the link to the boards "hidden" in text.

Also, I run my monitor at 1024x768. Perhaps this is why I need to scroll down to get to the navigation bar. It's general web wisdom that the user should be able to get where ever they want to be without scrolling.
