Hi all,
2004 has been a very eventful year for me. 4 days into it, my wife and i were married. 4 months into it, we moved to Vegas.
5 months into it, LVVR was born. in our first 6 months, we have seen our meetings grow from 5 reefers to 20. we've introduced our first guest speaker in Anthony Calfo, raised club funds with our book sales, and discovered a core set of members who will become the backbone of this club.
I am personally very excited to see how LVVR grows in its first full year. i'm thrilled to see how some of you have stepped up to take leadership responsibilities, share ideas, and show commitment to the club's goal of promoting our hobby in this valley.
this year, we're planning to bring in more guest speakers, hold behind the scenes tours at the various exhibits here (like the Shark Reef), align with sponsors for raffles, and much more.
so i encourage all of you who are lurking, have lost touch, or have not yet come to a meeting to get on board. 2005 is gonna be a great one for us.
