am trying to come to the next meeting and it would be my frist so i would like to know what the avg price on the frag at the meeting . just got two 175 mh like for my tank thanks to mike so i think it time for me to start add some corals to my tank what would be a good ones to start with ???

$10 is pretty much the starting price for frags. But is also depends on what you are looking at.

Usually a week or so before the meet someone starts a thread of stuff that they are looking for and stuff that they have to trade and sell. This is usually a good way to look stuff up online prior to see what it looks like.

My personal experience is that if you have a new tank you should stay away from SPS's till you give your tank some time to cycle. They are also the hardest to keep. Do you have any corals in your tank right now?

agree, I would not recommend even a frag of acro until the tank is at least 6 months old, barring of course if you have a dsb you might get away with it a little earlier. Monti's are a little easier to deal with and less tempermental. If your new to sps, you might want to chat with grand poobaahs Jazzy and MR294

my tank has beem up for about 4mos . and idont have any coarls in it yet . so will there be any star polyps ;zoos or mushrooms at the meeting

Yes, all of those are usually a pretty common to find at the meeting.

at 4 months you could probably get away with digitata, if you want to try sps that is a great starting point, it grows rapidly and loves mh
