View Full Version : New Cube
Everyone,
I figured I would share some pictures of my new tank. My 120 is being cleaned up and nearly ready for sale and this is my new cube. It measures 30x30x22 and was made by Andy @ MRC.

Nice tank! I like the look of cube tanks.
Nice tank !!
From the cord and the spread of detritus in a V shape I'd guess the tunze is under the rockwork.
Are the two down elbows returns ?
Agu
Thanks everyone.. Yes, the 2 down elbows are returns, I need to switch them out for the black ones, but haven't made it down to Lowes lately.
The tunze is hidden in the center bottom of the rockwork so you are right Agu. The cool thing about it is all the detritus tends to go to easily reachable areas! :D
Instead of elbows have you considered loc line ? That way you can periodically change direction of flow very easily.

A lot of the etailers sell this also.

Robert, Lovin the cube..Some day we will be moving and if I don't have room for my 125 I have been contemplating a cube. Or should I say I have been letting the wife know that we might need a new tank after the move...I would like to see your stand and equipment as well...
Scotty,
I like the cube much better than my 120. When I upgrade I will probably do another cube.. :D
The stand hasn't been wrapped yet, so I will show pictures once it is done.. One thing I need to mention is that you have to plan your equipment out very carefully to get everything to fit in the stand.. lol

Funny, we have looked at a few houses but still waiting for ours to sell...As we have looked at house it has been well we need a spot with a wall where there is room for a closet behind it or a waal on the garage that would be good for the tank....Planning for that equipment ahead of time so I am not running tubing 75 feet to my tank for dosing and topoff....
Yeah, when we were looking for our house in June, I lucked out with a "fish room" but no closet.
In our dining room though we have a closet and a wall that can get me out to the garage.. :D
So Robert, when are you willing to host a club meeting ??
What is your base ? Looks like thick black plastic .
Agu
Agu,
How about January? :D The base is 1/2" cutting board material.
