I recently got these two corals and was told by the clerk at LFS that they were both favia. Can anyone confirm or deny this claim. I also got this plate coral. I was wondering if it would get enough light on my sand bed with 440 watt VHO on a 55gal tank. Thank you for your time.:)

Yes it is a type of favia. 440 watts of VHO will be plenty of light for the plate. Nice tank by the way

the first one is typically called a moon or pineapple coral. it part of the faviid family. The plate coral is known at a funjid.
