Help wth ID

have been told this coral is an acan, a candy cane, and a blasto.
I belive it is some type of acan myself. It doesn't branch and it seeks to build a fairly deep base to it.

Need a better look at the base, but if it doesn't have a branching structure, then I'd lean more towards acan.

You are probably right. I have never seen anything like it though.

It looks to be a caulastra frag. This peticular species is white to cream and tends to pulge open like that. Does it have tentacles that expand during feeding or at night?

It does have tentacles but they are much smaller than my other candy canes. The heads look like candy cane but the body is not branching at all. Also the color is a true purple.
Whatever it is I havent seen it anywere else. I bought it from some people tearing down a tank a year ago. It is very slow growing.
