I thought it would be a good idea to post a little information about our tanks, etc. So I'll start.

I have a 120 gal. SPS acrylic tank. I use the Zeovit system, as well as a Euro-Reef 6/2 skimmer. I have 3x250w de MH pendants (2 14.5k, 1 10k spectrum). For circulation I use 2 Tunze streams set to alternate between 100-30% power, and a Dolphin pump with a 'Y' to two returns. I have a Reeftek calcium reactor and my zeovit filter as well as the skimmer in a 20 gal. sump. The tank is stocked with a Yellow Tang, Maroon Clown, Asfur Angel, Flame Angel, Royal Gramma, Mandarin, and a Flame Hawkfish. Various snails, crabs, and shrimp help keep things clean. I have @ 35 different colonies and frags of all sorts of SPS. I also have a bubble-tip anemone for the clown, a few zo's and ricordia polyps, as well as some green star polyps. A teardrop maxima clam rounds out my livestock. I have been keeping various tanks for over 13 years, and am 32 years old last week. Here is a pic of my tank that is about a month old (lights aren't on yet).

Thanks mrpink44! My growth rates have been almost too much and the bottom half of the tank is full. Everything was started from very small frags. I am going to start a 60G. this spring.

Dec. 19th with be the 6th month mark and I am looking forward to showing the growth pictures and the SPS frags that make up the top layer.

I am looking forward to seeing some of our members tanks in person.

Beautiful tank spike. Now I know where all the good corals go so fast from the store.... LOL

How are the T5's working for you? when i upgrade my lighting to MH im gonna supplement with T5's cause i read that they last a little longer and burn a little cooler compared to PC's and VHO's

I think its awsome your having great success going against the "grain" sort of speak....just goes to show you things dont have to be done the way everyone says so :)

I really dig my T5s - because they are not a point light source my corals grow out like bushes and trees.

If you get T5s the blue plus bulbs are awesome IMO.

Although I do get alot of frags from the store half my stuff including some LR came from Goochs.

BTW,
Thanks for the nice comment! Someday you may see it in person.

Put the image tags at the begining and end of the URL (web location) of your pic.

[ img ]URL GOES HERE[ /img ]

(I put spaces between the brackets and "img" "/img" otherwise a red X would have appeared)

You can load images to your gallery but they must be under 50K.
RC provides the URL info on the page for you.
