Help! Hammer has Bleached?

I have a nice piece of hammer coral that has gone white and is not expanding any more. It is mid way up in the tank. I have had it for about 2 months and about 2 weeks ago it changed.

I am not really sure what happened. Should I move it, maybe lower? Will it recover?

Place it in low-light and try to offer it foods as much as possible.If it will accept food,it has a good chance of recovering.
