two weeks ago i ordered 3 250 watt mh ballasts 3 hamilton 14000k bulbs and last night i ordered 45 pounfs of Kaelini rock from Fosters Smith. should have the lights installed next week sometime and could get the rock as early as tomorrow. i plan to cure the rock in my old 55 gallon tank and to start running the mh lights 2 hours a day for the first week then increase the time an hour the next week and so on till they are on about 8 hours a day. so with this plan the new rock should go in the tank when the lights are running 6 hours per day. will this have any adverse affects on the rock? or should i wait to start the lights untill the rock is cured that way everything gets use to the lights all at once and at the same rate?
