Dear collegue,
Our lifestock ¡§Interzoo¡¨ is found in Odessa, Ukraine. The staff consists of experienced marine ecologists, zoologists & aquariumists. Currently we are faced with such problems as ¡§Old Aquarium Syndrome¡¨, organic accumulation & Dinoflagellata bloom (Prorocentrum sp.). The latter inhibits growth of both corals and macroalgae. The leather coral (Alcyonium sp.) was poisonned, perhaps with the toxins.
„o Could you advice something against the Dinoflagellata besides siphoning, skimming, water- & carbon- change? All those measures were unsufficient.
„o What do you thing in this context about ozonation?
We hope that our bitter experience will contribute a little bit into solution of ecological problems in tropical waters.
