I've never seen blue personally, so it would be an odd morph. I have seen the red and green ones and the all green ones.

They would benefit a bit from some small feedings occasionally, just dont give them too big a chunk of food. Try quirting some mysid shrimp over the tentacles...

I just picked up a light blue candy last night. I haven't seen a blue one and I wondered if someone else has seen one like it. You don't have to worry about feeding it to much if you have good lights then that will take care of most of it, you could try to feed it very small foods every now and then.

Try to post a pic of it, I want to see what yours looks like.

That all depends on the enviroment, feeding etc.

sorry, i cant really get a good pic, but i think that my candycane could actually be Caulastrea echinulata which is less colorful than Caulastrea furcata ..am i correct?

I don't have a blue, never seen one yet, I have been on the lookout for those metallic green that look just like they are glowing in the dark, but with the bright lights on, not just the actinics.

I got some, but have now lost the picture of them, but they are like a light blueish green, and then the standard light red outside, green inside.

Now why are we not suppose to feed them large amounts?
I have seen a head eat about 1/3rd cube of Formula One (not feed this much on purpose), and another eat 5 inches of a string of Cheato (this was just floating by during cleaning).

Of course my tank is weird, my frogspawn won't actually eat mysis shrimp or anything else I try to feed it, except maybe freeze-dried cyclop-eeze, but that is so fine, I can't see it eating.

i've never seen a blue and i think the so called "blue" candycane's are most likely the light green ones. also, the "red" ones are basically brown. i don't know where anyone gets red from. please show me a red & green candycane if you have one.

here's my "blue" candycane ;)

This is as close to Red as I have seen. This was taken with 10k no Acticnic. Under 20k's it is really Red

Jus Reefin is that blue in the middle?
Also do those ever extend poylps? Cause mine don't.
Where as I have some that look kinda like Marlooneys' that keep about 1/2" tencales out all the time.

Narkon, the middle is green. All of my CC extend tentacles at times

Then I just need to give mine time, only have had them for about a week now. Either that or they do it at the times of night that I haven't looked in the tank. I haven't been able to feed these yet.
