Turbinaria scrolling type?
Hello,

I have a few of the Turbinaria species (aka pagoda cup coral), but have been seeing a few of these species in the yellow cup, and also what I would call the scrolling species. Turbinaria Reniformis. I know the 'cup' is very easy to keep, what are the experiences with these other variations of this coral?

Thanks,
Chris

I have 2 T. reniformis. My seem to be slow growing; but, add a bit of yellow color to the tank.

Best of luck,

Roy

Here are a few frags of the purple variety. One of my favorites.

dbrown,

I just purchased one of these at my LFS. Can you tell me how you care for it? Placement, feeding, flow ect?

I treat them like an SPS. I havent really fed them besides what they get when I feed my one fish some flake. I have the frags on the substrate and the mother colony on some LR, I don't think either is out performing the other.

Sory, I can't frag mine. My husband would have a heart attack! I hope you find one.

How much lighting do these need? Mine sits about five inches from the top of the tank with 175w and (2)96w pc's in a 50 gallon tank.
