Well since there has been a little activity again in our forum, and a bit of a buzz about the MXTang thing, I thought I should take a moment to give you all a little update on what's going on with PROP and well tell you who we are these days.

First as many of you know already we recently got a very nice shipment of frags in to grow out. This is quality stuff and we are really thankful to have been given a chance to get this stuff in for you all. More on that below.
The group has certainly trimmed down a fair amount since this thing first got started. The most obviously odd departure being the unexplained vanishing of Mr. tang. Others have dropped out for a variety of reasons, but all of the current members have been on board since day one and have stuck with it all the way through. As you know we've made some minor changes to the way the group operates, trying to be a little less formal, reducing any auction fees, and just trying to hang out a little more. Auctions are still auctions as we learned at the last meeting but it wasn't as "intense" as others have been so I thought that was a real win.

Anyway, here is the way Prop looks now...

The current PROP Board of Directors:

ReefMaiden (Erin)
BluesMan (Mike)
BigMike (Mike)
Dgin (Durwin)
NorthBay101 (Gordon)
Dmorel (David) <-- that's me!

These are the folks that are doing all the work involved with PROP. At the moment it's mostly deciding when the next meeting and auction will be (should be January) and discussing other ways to get nice corals in to grow out and how to keep the meetings and auctions fun for everyone. Occasionally we deal with someone who thinks we are all criminals too, but that front has been pretty quiet lately (thanks for that everyone!)

Current PROP Farmers (which means they have frags growing out for PROP in their tanks) are:

ReefMaiden
Dgin
NorthBay101
Dmorel

Prop currently has the following pretty big list of corals. Next to the coral name is the name of the farmer(s) who are growing them out.

Intensive Care Unit:
Salmon Stag, this RTN'ed on two of our farmers on the same day about a month after arrival. I've managed to keep a very small sliver alive and it's starting to come back, but this one is probably a solid year away from being fragable.

Here are couple of pics I took tonight of PROP corals in my tank:

Sorry, I didn't take a pic of the Purple Tip Formosa this evening (hadn't been planning on making this post).

Durwin took a few pics of the frags he brought home just the other day, but please keep in mind that these are fresh out of QT and mounted in his tank only a few minutes, the colors are shall we say "not there yet"

EDIT: Having just looked at this post, Durwin takes WAY better photos than I do!

Erin just got her latest corals from the QT a day or two ago, and Gordon has his too, but also has a cold and didn't get to take good pics yet, but I'm hopeful both he and Erin will post some pics in the next few days.

So, there is a little update for everyone. We're still plugging away and hope to see you out there in January! Of course, feel free to ask any questions you may have on our current direction, our progress, and anything else you can think of.
Regards,

It's the pink echno pic that does it... I can't edit the post now I'm afraid, they won't let you change it after an hour.

Sorry.

I don't know exactly what yet. I Know for sure more of the cap, which is growing like mad and getting that intense glowing purple edge that we all know and love.

Maybe on the blue milli and maybe on one of the stags. Maybe even the tenius. My tank has been really growing the last month. If the spurt keeps up, I should be able to bring frags in Jan, but if I just get "average" growth, I doubt th fancy stuff will be big enough to frag just yet. But if not Jan, definately in March.

Not sure about the rest of the crew.
