Common name is meat coral. Looks like a Scolymia.

Could be either Scolymia or Cynarina.... Both have similar growth patterns...

I also have one just like that only a little bit bigger. It's been hard for me to get a definite ID. But I know its either Scolymia or Cynarina.

Definately Cynarina after looking at those skeletons. thanks baja_01. Today I had to relocate it in my tank because it expanded even more today pushing itself off the ledge it was on. Thanks everyone for your help.

I think the best spot would be on the sand. These corals can expand greatly, and sharp rocks can damage their flesh.
