Hey kids. I'd do a search, but it's not working for me right now. :)

I want to get a PH for my 10 gallon, and I'm just wondering which one you think would be good. I've been looking around on other forums, and I'm thinking a MaxiJet 400 will be a decent fit. It's a little over 100 gph. The 600 is 160 gph, but I've read that between 5 and 10 per gallon is a decent amount. Is the 400 good enough? Keep in mind I also will be getting an Aqua C Remora in short order.

Thanks!

You cant go wrong with the maxijet. The 400 should do you fine.

Well, I bought a MaxiJet 400 this morning, should arrive later in the week. The rest of my rock comes tomorrow, so this nano should be going pretty well very soon. Of course, it's just in time for me to go away for 4 days for thanksgiving. :) Only thing left to buy is a skimmer. Gonna go with the AquaC Remora.

what corals and substrate are you going to have in there. i had 2 900s on a wavemaster that was pretty amazing for sps/xenia in a little 7-bowfront. i just couldn't have any substrate in there at all.

I have an aragonite bed, about 2-4 inches deep, depending on where you're looking. I don't know what kind of corals I want to eventually keep, but right now I have a xenia, buttons, and one of them hard kinds (don't know the common name, but it's an m. digitata). :) The kinds I've seen that I like a lot are millis and buttons.

this a standard 10 gallon tank? You might have trouble with the height of the remora. Nothing that cant be overcome, but its not going to fit if you just have the tank sitting on a table or something.

Hmm...I remember thinking my tank was tall enough, but as I wrote out my explanation, I realized that my tank isn't quite as tall as I think it is...I might need to make a base for it to raise it up because it's sitting on a countertop. :) You're the first person to say anything about that. Good call!

either raise it up, or cut a hole in the countertop :D
