Thought i'd share my newest project i'm working on. I'm building a 27g (23x23x12) tank for my Clarkii pair. They have been living in my tub for too long and i cant tell if they are breeding or not since i can only see them from above. So time for their own home. :)

I cleaned the basement some so i could cut and drilled the glass down there instead of in the kitchen like last time. It went smoothly and now its all siliconed together. While it cures i'm going to work on the electrical in the cabinet and come up with a sump size and design. I still need to paint the back of the tank and find some black acrylic to make overflow covers. That or find some colored glass to make the overflows out of.

Here's where i'm at right now. Enjoy!

Test assembly (27g is on right- 15g end table tank on left)

Thanks Adam!

Well i started to transfer some of the liverock and my corals and fish over to the new tank. As you would expect i had to tear out all of the LR to catch my 2 clowns. Its amazing how much LR you collect over 5 years of various size tanks (some of that is yours Adam from your old tank). This pictures shows about half of my LR. Nice thing will be if i ever get a huge tank i shouldnt need to buy LR.

A quick picture of the new setup. Not done hooking up the sump, etc and everything hasnt opened fully from the switch over. The Clarkii pair seem to love their new home but seem to have forgotten what it was like to look out the side of a tank.

It looks like you did an excellent job! Would you be interested in doing a workshop on building a glass aquarium for a future PMASI meeting?

Yeah i could probably come up with something to show the basics. I'm no pro or even close but dont do to bad on small tanks. It would have to some time down the road right at the moment but i'm game.
