Very nice piece. Have you seen other color morphs? A LFS had a piece very similar to yours.

I have a piece that looks a lot like that but I always thought it was a blasto merletti. Any way to tell them apart? Thanks.

Here's mine. It's basically a baseball size rock. Interesting part is the long tube coming up - that is a fan worm that, as the tube grows, the leptastrea has grown as well. Easy to care for and very hardy coral.

Sick pics, are they closely related to favia & acanthastrea? What areas are they collected from?

I dont know how closely related, but they are in the Faviidae family.

yea those guys are cool i was supposed to buy one from eric a while back but he sold it to somebody else :(
