Does anyone know of a good website for corals? I find lots of sites for sales, or a few with real basic info. I would like to read up on a few different corals. I have purchased a few good books with great pictures but the info is very vague at best. Example..L.Toadstool..Light 2-9 with one being low light and 10 being extreme light!! O.K.?? So my toadstool should be where in the tank?? 2-9? I'd like it to be a little more specific..Anyway, if anyonw knows where some good reading is..please direct me..Thank you! KImmy

Hey Kimmy.
Here is our own Coral of the Week Archives (http://www.reefcentral.com/vbulletin/forumdisplay.php?s=&sortfield=lastpost&sortorder=&forumid=30&pagenumber=1&daysprune=365) where you can find pictures and comments from fellow reefers on a great variety of corals. Also, here (http://www.acroreef.com/crllish.shtml) is a page with links to alot of pictures of different corals. Have you discovered our Coral Forum (http://www.reefcentral.com/vbulletin/forumdisplay.php?s=&forumid=84&daysprune=) moderated by one of the world's foremost coral experts, Eric Borneman? HTH

I spend all day on the internet because my job is going really slooooow right now.

I spend a lot of time looking up reef information because I am a reef addict. I have to say that i think reef central is about the best way to go. Use the search function to find specific information, it is really helpful.

Kimmy:

I have and love "Aquarium Corals" by Eric Borneman, the guy mentioned above. It has EXACTLY the type of information that you are looking for. For sale at Premium Aquatics. They are out of the soft-cover version but have it in hard-cover. I wish I had got the hard-cover because I've read my soft-cover so much that the pages are starting to fall out.

Thanks Piercho..My Lfs is getting it for me!! I'll let you know what I think as soon as I have it in my grubby lil paws!! In the meantime..does anyone have yellow polyps in their tank and if so do they like alot of current? I have a rock with about 30 of them on it and half of them are wide open and swaying in the flow and the other half are kind of retracted. I have moved them to three different spots. Any experience here?? Kimmy

Not me but you can post on the Coral Page or repost on this page under the title "yellow polyps" to attract attention.

I usually try
cautiouscoral.com

or a simple google search.
