Anyone keeping torches, hammers, or frogspawns in tanks with massive amounts of flow? How are they handling it?

got a little over 20 times my tank, and the frogspawn is doing good.

my frogspawns and hammers shrivel with direct high flow. id think maybe from 2ft away with a 1 inch outlet pointing at it.. maybe 600 gph max..

They can handle mass flow, its the velocity of the flow they dont like.If you use large returns to slow down the velocity, you can get away with more flow.I turn over around 20x as well in my 40
but thats low-flow IMO.You can always find a way to reflect the current off of the glass and LR.

I have a frogspawn and torch both in my tank...One down low and one middle...I use two 1" ss and ampmaster 2700...decent flow.

Here's a tip for keeping LPS and SPS together in the same tank: if you have massive flow in your aquarium direct it at the surface of the water for SPS and place the LPS in the middle- where flow is generally much slower.

I have a torch in my tank that has more than tripled in size since I got it and most of the time it has been in direct flow from a 6000 stream pulsing from 40% to 100%. It is growing really well, though my SPS aren't doing very well (a whole other story. I think they adapt to the flow well. I would imagine that frogspawns and anchors would not do as well in higher flow though (more hydrodynamic drag on the polyps).
