Hey guys do any of you have a slideshow or a few pics that show the process of a candy cane coral splitting/growing a new head.

Mine is growing something that I can only describe is a ridge of calcium along the top of the coral. Instead of the coral opening up and being round it now is a U shape due to the ridge. Any thoughts?

Here is a recent pic of my candy cane. You can see the heads just simply form a new mouth and split off into 2 heads. Some of the heads on mine are splitting in this pic. My has grown from 3 heads to abuot 15 in 6 months, but i have yet to see the calceous part grow at all.

I've got a candy cane, and yours is splitting. the tenticles on my aren't that long either but i'm seen other places that they can get to 1 1/2 inch long.

Well I haven't seen my candy cane do what you describe about the calcium, but I have seen my frogspawn do that. Just a way for it to extend its reach, then it will come back out fluffier than ever.
