Hey there Anthony,

I have a 4 foot 80 gal tank with a mag 12 pump. I wanted to try your return manifold design using 3/4 piping, 3 outlets on the front glass and 2 outlets on the back glass. Would there be to much head on my pump? Thanks Anthony.

How far below the tank is the pump?

Just for a frame of reference, I am using two Mag-Drive 1200's on my 120. Both feed into 1" PVC up to the tank's loop which is also 1". I then have seven 3/4" modular pipe outlets. This arrangement seems to work well for me.

I'm running 1/2" pipe on a Mag 12, through a squid to 6 nozzles on one side, and then 4 on the other. It generates flow pretty well. I'm sure if I up the pipe size as recommend it would be even better.
