Can you give us more tank details such as:

-How long has the tank been up?
-Do you have a deep sand bed?
-What type of filtration do you use?

Those things will help us help you better.

Will all those tanks, the best way to handle the nitrates is by installing a refugium and growing and harvesting macroalgae. The natural nitrate exporter.

Yes, I got a 24hours lighting sumpwith sea grass and new added mangrove. But the result is not what I want, the No3 level is between 20-40 ppm, I hope to add some more" living things" or system to take out all the no3, or another 20-40 ppm.

Do U have any ideal, what kind of system can take those remeinding NO3?

Wankel, what kind of test kit are you using and how old is it? I have had test kits in the past show low readings of NO3 & NH3, and it eventually turned out to be the test kit, not my water. Not only that, but depending on what you're going to keep, perhaps a little NO3 won't be so bad...I know quite a few people feel that clams in particular are partial to having a little NO3 in the water...

Q!!!

Hi Q-ball,

The test kit U is a ACQUAMARINE, dio & Read 50 Test Strips Nitrate. And the use by dtae is 2-2003.

So I think the result is real.

Does anyone have experiance with Sulphur Denitrator ??
