When I feed my fish thawed Formula One my hammer coral occasionally puts out these tentacle looking things and gathers food into what looks like it's mouth. The tentacle in the pics is about an inch long, but I've seen the tentacle as long as maybe 5 inches. Is this how hammer corals feed?

My hammer has grown one new head in the two months that I've had it and I've only see it do this a few times.
