I know im for St. Louis, and I saw it last night on the TV, but I dont get it, was 1918 the last time Boston won a World Series? Im just glad New York isint going, I HATE NEW YORK!@*&$$(*

Yep, last time they won the world series...
That following year (or same year), Babe Ruth was signed by the yankees after the Red Sox couldn't afford him anymore. The yankees went on to win multiple world championships and the sox hadn't won one since. That's why they call it the "curse of the bambino".
