Was shopping around E-bay today and came across this:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=4330545475

It was a 7 day auction and had just been posted. I asked the seller what he would take for it if he would end the auction early for me... He said he posted a BUY IT NOW price on the site and to check it out.... $150 for a lifereef LCR2!

It's probably WAY overkill for my 55, but I plan on upgrading later. If it doesn't have all the parts, I'll get some spares from Lifereef, or trade someone for a smaller unit. It looked to be all there. What do you all think?

It sounded like a helluva deal!

Now it's piece by piece... C02, regulator, controller, etc. :rolleyes1:

Yeah, but makes you wonder... I studied the picture pretty closely with the one on the lifereef.com site and mostly everything looked to be there  I suppose if something is missing, it wouldn't be a component that is too serious. It wouldn't be the end of the world, or anything I couldn't replace from lifereef.

Can you guys decipher anything from the images? Apparently this guy doesn't know what he was selling, which makes me a little nervous. Hopefully it holds water!

Also thought a mag7 was a pretty serious re-circ. pump... ? Maybe for my smaller tank, I may want to swap out for a smaller pump.

I'm not all that familiar with calcium reactors, anybody have any insight?

it hink the fact he dosent know what he's doing is a good thing. If he knew exactly what it was, and was selling it for 150 in right-out-of-the-box condition, I would be more apprehensive.

The only things I noticed is that it's missing a couple nipples... ;)

The one on the top, which I assume is a CO2 recirc. fitting, and the one that's probably the reactor feed, near the -T- fitting by the pump. And why does it have a RIO? I thought these units didn't need a feeding pump?

Anyway, here's a picture to compare both.

I'll cross my fingers that all the parts are inside the chamber... If not, I assume they are standard Home Depot accessories ;)
