Well, Jen and I got a puppy over the weekend...
It's still debatable whether it was a good decision or not, but I've always grown up with dogs and have missed them in my life.

She's a boston terrier named Anni. She's been a handful, has caused us some cases of exhaustion, and frequent "outdoor trips" and cleanup issues. Hoping to get past the terrible 2's here quick as she's only 7-8 weeks old.

Here are a couple pics:

Here is Anni expressing how she feels about leaving home!

And the both of us tired out from chasing her squatting butt around... :rolleye1:

Yeah, she is... But definitely doesn't ever want to leave mommy/daddy's sight. She stays in her crate at night and when we're not home. It's hard leaving for work and being at work. I hope she's not making too much noise back at the apartment, or else I'm gonna have one P'd off landlord! She's cool about it though, but hopefully her patience lasts!

good luck with her erick and jen. i like the two different color eyes, that looks cool. sandy and i have lots of puppy stuff around from indy if you need stuff like: puppy leash, collar and a crate, but you said that you have one. we have a small crate if you need then a larger crate that you'll need for almost the first year.
good luck potty training that is always a joy.
how's that golden that your mom has, that is a good looking dog?
good luck with the terrier.
P.S. the flyer's looking good and is a great idea for new ideas and for draing new blood to the club

Ugghhhh... That's all I have to say!

Cute... Yes

Housetraining is going alright... I'm not all that worried. We do have a wire crate that we're using. It actually has an adjustable divider, so we can move the divider back as she grows. She has been doing *okay* with the crate. She'll whimper and/or give out some loud cries for the first 5-10 minutes that she's in it, but will eventually calm down. Sleep has been our biggest problem. She doesn't seem to sleep more than 5-6 hours through the night. With me working two jobs on Tuesday and Thursday, and Jen working long days, it hasn't been pretty for us. We're both exhausted!

But... It's just another element to an already complex life. And I thought reefkeeping was time consuming!!! HA!!! It pales in comparison to a puppy! Hopefully her learning curve will progress and training will become easier, sooner than later.

I appreciate your offers Jonathan. You must know what I'm talking about! My mom's golden is great, she's such a great, tame, lazy dog! But she's also ~5 years old.

Pray for me!
-Erik
