Hello all.

Two quick questions, I read the eggs are red. Are they red right away or does the color change? now they are a pinkish color.
Also how long is the whole process?(when he will let them go).
thanks, Paul

Hi:
Thanks for the question
red- pinkish...sounds the same to me. Unfertizled eggs are whitish, so if the eggs are not white, then you're in business.
AS far as full term. the banggais will hold the eggs/fry for approx18-29 days.
18 days for sure, then after this it can be anytime.

Frank,
Every once in a while he will give me a short glimpse at the eggs,But they are very hard to see. Hope I can catch a few when he lets go.Thank you for your reply. Paul

Hey:
as the eggs mature you'll notice the male juggling these eggs as well as yanwing, i suspect this allows better nutrient exchanges, and also allows the male to work on his tired jaw.
Dont worry you'll get better looks.
Hopefully you'll see banggers in about 2 weeks in his mouth...eyes poking out. etc
good luck
