View Full Version : Refugium in Sump?
Is it possible to have a refugium in the sump of a wet/dry filter?
Any advice or experience would be great!

Yes, it is. I am not clear exactly, though, on what you are asking. If you are asking can I have a refugium in my sump with a wet/dry....certainly. There are many folks on Reef Central that have done this. Here is a picture of cat23's:

For a refugium to be located in a sump, all you need is the space for it. If the wet/dry portion takes up too much space, then you would not have room.

Any thing is possible. I grow macro in a ten gal sump with it divided into three sections. just make sure you make it where the macro doesn't get sucked into your return pump.
