Does anyone have any experience in using a tungsten carbide hole saw to drill an acrylic tank instead of the traditional hole saw with teeth?

Thanks

I copied this thread to the DIY forum. The folks in that area are very likely to have used the hole saw you are talking about and we may get an answer for you quicker.

If the hole saw is essentially a tungsten carbide tipped hole saw ,it should work fine. Tungsten carbide is REALLY hard; capable of cutting metals. But, if it has good, sharp teeth, you ought to be fine. If any of the teeth are chipped, it may gall and burn material. HTH
