ID Question

I can't get a decent picture so I'll do my best to describe it. Recently I have noticed a pile of rice grain sized "things" on the sandbed between two rocks. It looks for all the world like some type of rodent scat. the pile has now turned into two piles right next to each other. The second pile being an addition. The piles are about an inch or so long and the same wide.
So.....what is making these??? Should I remove them?? I havn't attempted to see if they are solid or not. very curious, very curious indeed.

I assume they are dark in color bacause they look like rat scat?

Could it be fish crap that something is collecting.. maybe you ought to play night watchman or collect one acnd see if it is hard, alive, etc..

We could probably 'scope' it out at the lab if ya want

Actually they are light grey in color. I've posted the best picture I can get in my gallery.

i just started a 10g and put some snails in it. and everywhere a snail has been i se these little droppings.. must be snail pooop :)

looked at picture and it is not clear enuf have to have a tank tour !
