I currently have a 55 gal. FO tank which I plan on converting to a FOWLR and some low light corals in the near future. I have a yellow tang, 3 four stripe damsels and a lawnmower blenny in the tank. I have CC substrate which will be replaced with Southdown. Some time ago, I dosed the tank with copper :eek1: to treat an outbreak of Ich. Now with the soon addition of LR and inverts, what can stay in the tank and what must go. I would like to keep as much as possible. Any help or advice is greatly appreciated.

I would personally not used this tank as a reef tank given that you have in the past treated it with copper.

Good threads! Think I'm gonna toss my last bit of Coppersafe before I'm tempted to use it in the main tank-I haven't yet. That bit about the algeacides containing copper was enlightening. I've once or twice entertained the thought of using it to battle the hair algae-sure glad I didn't.:eek2:

Thanks, guys! My Cupramine has hit the bottom of the trash can. Now, on to making the wife REALLY pleased! :furious: She'll be estatic to hear about a new tank.....

I appreciate the help, and glad I posted this prior to doing something really dumb :p
