October Meeting

Hey guys I was thinking maybe we could hold the next meeting at my house. I got a 75 reef a 55 agressive, 10gal xenia fuge. and Im setting up a 29. I was thinking we could make a DIY wet/dry for my 29 as a fun project for the meeting. What do you guys think? What day is good for you guys?

Sounds good to me. How about the 28th. We can keep it the last Thursday of every month if that sounds good to everyone else. Jon lives right behind Tanglewood mall so everyone should be able to find him really easy.

Much as I would like to, weekdays would be a bit too much for me as I commute to Wytheville everyday from Radford. Any time you guys do a meeting over the weekend, I am game.

I would like to know if anyone has any info on fuges. I am going to set up 30gal and I would like to know if anyone has made ther own yet.
Also if you want to swap frags then post what you have.
I would agree on the w/end thing, I live about an hour from Roanoke and I leave for work at 5.30am so week days are hard.
If thats all we have to work with then that will be ok.

Sorry guys, but i work on the weekends.

I know sjdyer built his fuge. I got the aquafuge on my 75, as well as the zenia fuge on the 55. I give you some macro to get started.

As for frag trading i guess we can float the bags in the 29. I got a
candycane frag to trade, Im looking for mushrooms. The 29 is just going to be mushrooms, if anyone has any to spare to get me started i would really appreciate it.

Im also bringing a couple of friends from work who are looking into getting into the hobbie, who are looking to buy a tank. If you have used equipment plz post it here as well.

I have a new 18" HOB fuge w/pump and lighting I'd like to sell as it didn't fit my tank.

I cant meet on weekends unless its after 12:30pm on sat. I think Sundays are out too. Thats my family day.

Jon I still have the d/h for your lady and I couldn't remember if you wanted some of my sroms or not.Do you still have the frags for me? How many of those snails do you want? I would love to bring a bunch of stuff but like I said in the past I leave the house at 5.30am and don't get off work untill 4.00pm and I am not sure how the frags would fare. What do you think.
About the time. Earlyer the better for me.

thats where the first roanoke meeting was last month. on brambleton ave. take 220 to (419) electric road exit., go right at light at end of exit. go a couple of miles and take a left on brambleton av. Somethings fishy on the right between El Peurto and Country Cooking.

to get to Jons house take the same exit and take a right at stop light at the bottom of the exit then go 2 lights and take a right on Ogden road at Mac and Maggies Restaurant. Go through the light and take a left into Honeywood Apartments. Take the first left and got to the end and park next the Basketball courts. His Apartment is on the hill Come in thru the back porch. you will see us.

If anybody has any equipment for sale/trade bring it and we will have a table setup for that and any frags for sale/trade we can float the bags in jons 29.

I got a blue stripe that has a greenish tint in it also. 1 mushroom on a small piece of rock.

i have some as well I can cut you a couple, and you can get them at the meeting, the one jfloydr has are from mine. Im trying to get a tank running with a bunch of different shrooms, do you got 1 or 2 you can cut to trade?

I only have 4 mushrooms at the moment and they are too young to cut I think (attached heads about a month ago). But I have cash to trade!! LOL Seriously, if we can come to an agreement about price I would love it if you could show me how to cut heads at the meeting. When mine are more established I would like to know how to propagate them.
