I'm Mikes wife. I have a FOWLR will he touch base on any topics for my set up? I sure hope so if my husband is dragging me to Vegas again. The drive from St. George really sucks!:hmm1:

Hi butterfly_Cheeks :) I'll send him an email and ask to be sure. I do however believe it is mainly reef topics.

Thanks! Are there any good Pet stores around the Round table area? I heard they have monky's in the pet stores there?

TippyToeX

There is ATM11. I really do not like the place but if you use QT they do get some lovely fish in from time to time. :)

I know nothing of monkies! Though it would not shock me if there were some pet stores that did have them.

Yep Aim, It is legal to sell monkeys in Nevada. I have yet to see one; but if you look at pet stores in the phone book you will see places advertising them :rolleye1:

the "PET STOP" on charleston and lamb usually have monkeys....its horrible. dont go in there, save yourself. or go in and buy a reptile, save them.

If you buy a reptile "to save it", you do nothing but tell the store "Why, yes, you CAN keep reptiles in horrible conditions and still make a profit." Offer to take it for free, but don't buy it.

The only way to get through to a bad reptile store is to let their stock die in their tanks and spread the word about how bad they are. Any other course of action only increases their profits and causes more reptiles to end up in the same miserable conditions, thereby increasing the suffering.

i wasnt trying to get too technical here...was just making a simple statement that the store sucks. Even reptiles living in horrible conditions deserve a chance at a better life.

I am afaid I cannot come. My daughter has vball tryouts that day and I want to be there.

Bums me out for several reasons.

1. I love roundtable pizza. Please eat a bite of pepperoni for me.
2. I so want to see Amy's tank.
3. To see Anthony is always a joy.

Please give my regards to Ant and you all have a great meeting. BTW there is some amazing sushi at Osaska off Flamingo and of course Nobu at the Hard Rock Cafe. If you all go there (Ant is a sushi man) please eat some for me.

thanks for letting some fellow desert dwellers join you. My wife and I both learned a lot. We hope to join you for more of these get togethers.

By the way ATM2 is like a candy store to a kid for me, our selectio/ stores are really bad. So bad that the owner does not know what an SPS coral is, this is not a joke he really doesn't know.

maybe you can make the drive to the SoCal frag swap next month, if you think ATM2 is a candy store...

I too want to thank Anthony for his time and generosity. Not only for the talk he gave Sunday that was marvellous, but for the help and advice he gave Jeff and I to help LVVR grow and be a strong club. The whole weekend was invaluable. :)

A big thanks for all of the new faces at the meeting, and for those who made the long drive to Vegas! We hope to see you all often.

Thanks again Anthony!
