ok i have a 10g nano and i know how your msut take extra care of nano's anyhow during the day with the lights on the temp is 80F and during night time when lights are off the temp goes down to 77F is this ok?

Yes. You might want to raise the range a couple of degrees, though, so that you go from say 83 to 80.

Assuming you use a heater I would raise its setting to 80 degrees also. Raising the floor temp doesn't always push the high temp up by the same amount in my experience. This may give you a smaller swing over a 24 hour period. If the circulation/ventilation is enough to maintain an 80 degree max then you will get a narrowing of the swing by raising your heater temp. My opinion only, but should be easy to test.

I agree with Skipper and Randy. Bump the tank temp up a bit with the heater. A 3 degree F daily temp fluctuation isn't all that bad.
