New to Forums

Hi everyone i was refered over to this forum by Amy (Tippy Toex) who I PMed when I noticed she was from Vegas. I am new to the hobby so you might have to deal with some stupid questions from time to time but I care so be patient.

A little backround on me is that my wife, 2 yearold daughter and myself have a 142 gallon FOLR tank that is creeping towards a reef. In fact if we werent having temp problems we would be upgrading our lights to go for it. Again we do have a few corals but to call it a reef would be a stretch. Anyway I hope to become a active member and go to some meetings. Beer is always a draw.

My first question is where is the store that I have seen referenced here on Trop? Great question huh?

There are no LFS on trop, even in the broadest sense of the word. Best you dont know the name of the place.

Hi Adam welcome to LVVR. You came to the right place if you want great info, and to meet cool people!
Also since you might be converting to a reef soon you joining a club is a great way to get corals cheap (or sometimes free:))

there is a lfs on tropicana called trop-aquarium. it's near trop and pecos. on accasion, you may get lucky and find something there....a few of the clubmembers have had good luck. but don't hold your breathe!

Okay, I have to say it...what is with all of you pharmacy people in the club? Does anyone else see a pattern? Not that it is bad. Just a little wierd.

The store on trop... know what your getting before you buy it cause they cant help you with info. Also if you can get there on Fridays (delivery day) you will be best off with them. I always think less time in LFS the better. and you can get them to give you items right out of the shipment bag.

I guess that must be why I haven't set up my tank yet. Too much Percocet and Oxycontin I guess. I just can't stop my self from licking the trays after counting the Methadone wafers at CVS!

Thanks for all the welcomes and I thought it was kinda weird also reading through the posts. All I know is you cant have a drug habbit and a reef habbit at the same time, way to expensive.
