You are grilling Rib Eye steaks for the meeting? LOL

Our president only serves the best. :)

coralreefing

I'll be grilling but probably hamburgers & hot dogs unless I think of something easier to feed a crowd. There will definately be eats though.

Do you need me to bring any food or drink item to the meeting Chris?

coralreefing
09/16/2004, 10:48 AM
I'll have cheeseburgers, hot dogs, brats, chips & salsa. Seems like most members like to bring their own preferred beverage & they're welcome to do so. If you would like to bring something to add to that then "bring it on".

I think we'll miss Mimi's desserts though.

Yeah, we've got to steal her back from the Northeast.

Thanks folks, but it was for the best. He lived a long (92 years), happy life, and he is once again with the love of his life, his wife of 70 years. We can all only hope to experence a life like that.
Your thoughts and prayers are appreciated.

Same here, thanks Chris. Got home and did exactly what you've suggested. I sew fishing line one way and did another 90 degrees. By the way, the Xenia is looking great. How long does it take for the colt to attach normally. When it does, what is the best way to remove the fishing line? Thanks again Chris.

Thanks Chris, Your tanks look great. I forgot to ask you where you got the plans for that calcium reactor. Mine looks anemic compared to yours.

Great meeting. It was nice to see you all again and to see a couple of new faces. Welcome to the club phudeb and Hyu. As usual, Chris's tank looked great. We appreciate the 'nano on a rock.' I think Jenn doubled her number of corals last night:).

Thanks for the compliments everyone. I had a great time & look forward to the next meeting.

Put the colt in an area of very low current & it should attach in about 2 weeks. Don't disturb it until you're sure it's attached because it will come loose & have to start over. Once it is well attached you can just cut the line & pull it out. I usually use sewing thread because it will eventually deteriorate if you forget to remove it. Fishing line will last forever & could damage a pump if it gets loose.

Mike
I looked at several reactors (Sanjay, Geo, My Reef & several on the diy forum & used the features I liked from each of them on mine. I have other plans I've drawn up if you would like to see them too. I also have enough acrylic tube to build another if anyone needs some.

Gary & Jennifer
I knew Jennifer had been eyeing that rock for a while & I was glad to regain the realestate. Now she has the pink zoos you wanted in her tank. That's gotta hurt. ;-)

gflat65
09/19/2004, 03:22 PM
Oh, when she's not looking, one of those pink zoas might 'detach' from the rock to start another colony;)

rcmike
09/19/2004, 03:31 PM
I would love to see the plans. How much you want for the tubing? I have been wanting to build a larger reactor. Mine only holds about a 5th of the media of yours.

coralreefing

Also known as see BS.

greystreet41
09/21/2004, 09:26 AM
fyi, that was not spoken by Bush, but by Quayle and has made its' rounds repeatedly as "Quayleisms," "Bushisms," and now "Goreisms." There are enough things to quote Bush on that are definitely a play on words than to have to use one that wasn't even used by him.

cheers.

Coralreefing, you hit it on the head w/ see BS :P

I agree that there are plenty of Bush quotes that drive the point home. Anyway I'm shutting my mouth now. I can tell this could get worse than discussing lighting and skimmers LOL!
