If you come back you should try fishing the owahee river right below the resovoir. Its great, and full of huge browns.

Tren,

Isn't McMillan between Cloverdale and Five mile in northern Idaho??? IMO the best looking tanks are in Southern Idaho around the Fox Ridge subdivision...

Agree???

Eastern warm springs... :D ...at least that's where I got some frags. Nice tank Scott! Is that the Idaho grape cap from GARF? [as currently named by S. Tyree] I think I've got that pink rimmed cap.

GARFVolunteer

Actually Steve Tyree got his original frag of the Idaho Grape from me during the 2003 Reef Tour (traded him for a book). Currently the caps are my favorite corals. I collect as many different colors as I can. I need to get with Paul Sanborn and get a frag of a awsome colored green cap that came from my tank. I gave it to someone for safe keeping and it got sold...

I am always open to trades...

Thanks,

Scott

and i quote "hey scott I am getting rid of all the duplicate corals in my tank is there anything you want?"
"no tren I have everything you have in there"
"are you sure??? I am going to trade it out"
"nope get rid of it"

But Tren,

It was not a duplicate. It is a different shade and plates differently than the other green one you have... But I told you I forgave you right after I peed in your sump during your trip to Bakersfield. Remember??? :p

Boy does that EuroReef skimmer work well...

Did I mention that I am a forgetaholic???

Love ya man,

Scott

Tren,

It was a image that was taken in the Cabarton section of the Payette. Theres a company that takes digital photos of the public and then sells them on a really cool website. Check it out at http://www.payetteriverphotos.com

Christy,

You need to celibrate by adding an Idaho Grape frag to your tank. Grab the hubby and come on over and we will frag one for you... I am sure I have other corals I could frag also but the Idaho Grape grows like a weed.

Your success alone makes the expense of bringing Mike out here worth it.

Thanks,

Scott

Scott,

I agree, Mike was the best thing that ever happened to my tank. I have a pink/purple coral that might be a piece ot the great Idaho Grape. It is more pinkish but it might be the lighting. And yes I have seen growth in it just this week. I think the most amazing is my fox coral that has been hidden in the hair. It is coming back very quickly. Makes me happy to have a happy tank.

However, I would be honored to have any of the beautiful corals from your tank in mine. We would both like to come see your tank again as well. Just let me know when works for you and Monica.

As soon as my possibly contagious HA is ALL GONE you are welcome to any of the limited corals I have in my tank as well. Ended up with a couple beautiful devils hands soft corals. I know they are softies but need to find a home for at least one of them. Now that it looks like we are on the downhill side of the battle I am going to have to diversify:)

Speaking of Idaho Grape I heard word that there might be a frag or two of this famous coral at the IMAS annual Christmas raffle and Auction this year. I can't wait, last years was a huge sucess and nobody went home empty handed.

Shannon,

No big events are planned but we do have a meeting the second Tuesday of each month. Check out www.idahoreefs.org for the dates and topics. Tren and I try to keep it fairly updated.

Thanks,

Scott

I fished the Owynee in Eastern Oregon two years ago. Nice big browns. No voodoo neccessary to catch big fish, unlike California.

BTW, Boise is a beautiul city/area.
