Hey there,
let's try to decide what sunday to meet earlier this month, in hopes of getting a good turn out for August's meeting. (this means you Matt, Mike, BJ & Dusty! :))

we've been meeting on the 3rd and 4th Sundays, so that would be August 22nd or 29th. does 2pm still work for everybody?

we will decide the location and topic(s) of the next meeting in the coming weeks.

Family will be coming over on the weekend of the 22nd. I vote for the 29th. If we will be meeting iin family oriented places maybe we can change the times, for around lunch instead of 2pm. Any takers?

ron, since you suggested a change, i'll let you come up with the alternative meeting times. :)

I like that idea Ron. We could all have some pizza or something (somthing being sushi for Jeff and I). :D :P

We'll change of plans for me. Not going to Chicago but, now I am more than likely not going to be here either weekend. Bummer.

well, it seems like the 29th is best for the majority of us. i'm down for the lunch option. please, no Todai. we saw a good looking buffet at the Premium Outlet Mall. i think it was called Makiya.

what is everyone else thinking?

No seafood please! If you guys want to see it the second time around I guess we could do it! Either weekend works for me by the way!

Hehe, seafood/sushi is a little to fancy and $$$$ anyway for all of us. That and I don't fancy seeing or having poor Jeff get sick off of it. :D

OK Hmmm... pizza or some kind of easy snack-like food?

Nanighan

I suggest Chuck E' Cheese for pizza.

J/K
I really would prefer pizza than anything else.

Thank-you! I would hate for anyone to see something like that! Especially if there are any sympathetic pukers in the club! Pizza is always great!

OK cool, looks like pizza it is. Now where to eat it! You know Ron, Chunk-E-Chesse is not that bad of an idea. Donna, Matt, and Mike might like to have a place where the kids could play (not sure if Mike's kids are to old for that?). Just a thought. :D :p

Do we even have one here in LV?

Yeah there's some here in town if you like ketchup sauce pizza! blah!

 It's been so long since I've been to one I have no idea what the food was/is like.

or maybe a round table pizza? or shakey's, if they still have them? or even a pizza hut restaurant style place? these might be less noisy and better pizza. and if you are into that sort of thing -- beer might be available at these other establishments (not sure id chuck e cheese has beer....?)

EvilInSin

PeterPiper is a good place with Beer too. John and I go there sometimes because I like the pizza. They have huge long tables so if several people show up you will always have room. They are also all over town. Chuckeecheese I only know of 2 of them, one on lake mead W/buffalo and ahh I cant remember where the other one was sorry.
Pizza hut has a few restraunt style places left, I know one is on W Charleston and ahh just past buffalo before durango.

So if you can get an idea of how many will be at the meeting before hand you can see if people comeing are on what side of town and how many so you know there to go for best fit.

ok one more thing... the Peterpipe/chuckee idea may be bad due to being the weekend there will be LOTS of parties and may be a tad crowded. That has never stoped me tho.

We wont be able to make the meeting on the 29th but maybe next month. So someone take notes and post them here so I can learn anything you all discuss there too.

chuckie's has beer. You have to in order to put up with that many kids going crazy. Not very good but, beer non the less.

Hmmm... Pizza Hut eh?

What do we all think of that one, as Dusty suggested? On W Charleston (I will find the address if we like it)

Anyone else know of a good place? I wish I did. :( Man, I need to go out to eat more!

the Undone guy
08/13/2004, 02:22 AM
pizza is good. maybe um, olive garden, applebee's, tgi's, those sort of places?

Hey prez (Jeff/Amy), have we decided where it will be held?

TippyToeX
08/14/2004, 02:18 PM
I was asking for a little feedback about the pizza place mentioned above Ron. If it was not a good idea then perhaps some where else? :)

Unfortunately, I would think any kids' partyplace will be jammed on weekendsand bedlam would be a quiet place. Two possiibilities; Macaroni Grille - good food and accomodating, Borders Bookstore Cafe - very accomodating also, a little advance notice and they will set up tables - good coffee a little food quiet. Both are on Sahara near I 15

Both great suggestions Gary & Bobby. Jeff and I will put our heads together and see what we come up with. :)

Thanks!

Just to add a little more diversity. I am going to try and make it, wherever it is, since it is on the 29th. I will be on the Oregon coast this weekend. I am hoping to bring back a nice cooler full of Coho.

If you are looking for good pizza in an atmosphere that does not require strong drugs to tolerate, try Northside Nathans on Lake Meade, great pizza and Cerveza along with a couple games and big TV's. Only problem is the non-central location. The Pizza Hut referred to above is on W. Charleston and Antelope in front of the Bike shop, close to Buffalo. Another good place is BJ's Brewhouse at Charleston and I-215, or maybe Roadrunner at Flamingo and I-215, or even Round Table at Sahara and Fort Apache (same shopping center at ATM II).

I vote round table for obvious reasons. Its even near my favorite LFS ;).

so is it the 29th? is this the confirmed date?

i will guess so, as the 22nd looms near.

sounds good!

looking forward to the location choice, wherever it may be!
