I have a coralife 36" 96watt power compact fixture for trade. It has a newer 10k bulb that is about 6 weeks old. Looking for a 30" pc fixture or other lighting for my 20L nano. May also be interested in selling if the price is right.

sells used for......<fill in the blank>

Actually I am just curious, I am about to start a project using 21000 MCD LED lights as my main light, and If that dosent work out, then I will be in the market for some PCs.

chuck my ? on the leds is what would the spectrum be,I have noticed ambulances using leds in the light bars and they are bright, but is the spectrum true daylight or 50/50 and what depth penetration can you expect compared to pc or mh?

This is the URl of a site here on RC that is dealing with using LED's as a main light. It is a rather lengthy column, so grab a beer or six and sit down for a couple hours worth of reading.

As far as the spectrum goes, I am trying to dig up some charts to show you the sun and a ultra-bright LED. Once I find that, I will post it here to show you how close they are to one another.

Make me an offer on it... These usually sell for about $80 used from what I have gathered. I was really looking for a trade, that's why I didn't post a price. I may have a canopy in line so I might take retrofit PC's for trade as well.

Well, I couldnt find a pic showing the intensity of a LED, but I did find one showing the sun.

If I remember correctly, the LED sharply 'spikes' at 480nm then rapidly falls off. 480 is also what the sun spikes at, but the falloff isnt as much there.

As far as depth penetration, that is what I am experimenting with the LEDs for right now.

Hope that kinda helps.

read all 25 pages of the thread wow...took 5 cold ones , next ? 21000 mcd where and how much? I am a firm believer that leds are the lighting of the future and in less than 5 yrs mh will be obsolete in this hobby at least for those of us with a vision and the willing to experiment

This is the website of their main store:
http://stores.andale.com/hdtech

I first found them on ebay. They still have several auctions pending. Here is one:
http://cgi.netscape.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=66952&item=3830177661

This auction is for 10 of the LEDs for 1 penny, plus 7 bux shipping and handling. Word of caution tho, with 5 seconds left, someone is sure to outbid you.
