mysterious salt level drop

i mix my saltwater at a higher SG than my tank, but my salt level is DROPPING what gives?

it can take 24 hours for it to dissolve totally or something like that

Make sure you aerate the new saltwater for at least 24 hrs before adding it to the tank. Mine sometimes mixes for 48 hrs.

well, we will see... I mixed another 20 gallons up from Sunday - yesterday at 1.028 - and as of today, it reads 1.0255 or so before I topped off to compensate for evaporation from last night. I'll keep you posted though, as it's kind of weird...
