My "frag" of Lyndell's Monti. Can't get the purple rim to show in pix though...

A bunch of aquacultured frags. The colors aren't quite right on these either. The brown ones on the left have purple tips.

My Bennet tort frag....encrusting but not much else. The aqua acro behind it with the blue tips is doing great though.

Well, you know Dave, I have trouble leaving my lights alone, so it really depends on which day of the week you catch me. Some days I've got four, some none....I'm still trying to make up my mind....

sony f828. It's FAST. I'm still figuring out some of the stuff (like color balancing), but this thing is WAY fast.

when you say "fast" are you talking about frames per second or response time or ?

response time. Turn on to shoot is fast. Focus speed is fast. frames per second I'm not sure b/c I haven't tried that "speed shoot" mode out--you know what I mean. Compared to my Oly c4000, it's like BAM. I turn the thing on and can shoot in like a second, literally. Very little focus lag.

Nice Chuck, more pics!

I thought that cap would be all huge by now, you've had that well over 1 year right?

There were some periods of....abuse shall we say. Falling behind rocks, getting flipped upside down for prolonged periods of time.....

Only way Chuck settles on one bulb is when only one bulb is being made :)

Yeah, I'm thinking about trying out that Geisemann "Coral" bulb over my nano.....

Hey Chuck, what did you think of those Aquaconnects? Did you end up using those, or the Geismanns?

Did you compare the Geisemann 14.5K's to the Aquaconnects?

Curious....I share your obsession with lighting...

I have not tried the Geisemann 14.5k "coral" yet. I may give it a whirl over the office nano. I THINK I am settling on combo MH lighting. On the ends I'm using the AC 14k, towards the middle the XDE 10k, and in the middle either an AC 14k or radium 150w. The other pendants are 250w. So 4 250w and 1 150w pendant. I am going to forgoe my supplemental lighting as I have a complicated MH scheme this way and don't want to add in more lighting "stuff".

I've heard great things about that bulb. Apparently for best results it needs to be run on their ballast. Have you seen this?

Well, no, because one, the bulb hasn't come yet and two, I don't have one of their ballasts. Their ballast is definitely different than the run 'o the mill electronic. I am in Switzerland currently, and heading to Germany on Wed. Hopefully on Wed I'll find some places in Hamburg and Kiel to check out this stuff up close and personal.
