i will be there...july 24 at noon...i think we should meet at the adams mark by the airport (i think it is a hilton now). That way we can go down as a group and dont have people walking in here and there. Dont want to sound like a grown up but they are taking their time to do this and we should not show in random spurts. okay, no dessert till you eat your veggies.

I will be there at 11:30 to get everything setup. Not that there is a lot to setup, just want to work with mike and be there to do anything they need me to do. So I will see you all there around noon, I will meet you all in the parking lot.

Me and the wife (#'s 15&16 :D ) will be there...

Are we gonna meet at Inland or somewhere else (saw somethign mentioned about the Hilton)... If it is somewhere else, please give me directions... I will be coming in to Terre Haute on Highway 41 from Rockville (Highway 41 and 40 intersect at the courthouse down town, just a little FYI)...

Oh btw, My name is Mic and my wife's name is Lisa...

Stupid drinking age - I'm 20, so I guess I'll just have to have fun watching others get plastered. :D

Oh, I guess they don't mind us taking some pics? I'm thinking of borrowing my friends camera with 128mb flash card. :D

I went on a tour of Inland Aquatics with SEASL (St Louis club) and those that couldn't meet prior to arrival just met in the parking lot.

Castor - I took lots of pictures when I was there, however they do ask that you don't bother the breeding clowns with a flash.

My plans are flexible... but I do like to know ahead of time what I'm doing... ;)

Let me know if I'm still taking the tank a. And Shawn, if you do have room for the tank and ejsimcox, would you still have room for me? *grin*

I'm fine driving to get the tank and taking it down there. I do lonely draives all the time. Just more comfortable heading into strange, new places when I'm following... :D

So we are up to around 20 people or so correct. Just a quick question, will people be buying things? If so they will make sure they have a couple of extra people working so we don’t have to sit around and wait all day, they are usually very busy. If people aren’t going to buy, its not a problem either, they just want to make sure they have enough people to make sure we are put #1 and don’t have to wait around all day.

RT

Looking forward to the meeting.

i should have brought it last weekend...when i went on the sneak preview tour, but i completely spaced it when i left in such a hurry. if shawn (or anyone else) has room i will meet them where ever to put the tank in their vehicle...

if no one has room we can work it out later, you still come to Indy alot, emily?

thanks
donnie

DensityMan
07/20/2004, 10:43 AM
It's not a problem... Donnie's just trying to get me out of work because he knows I'm naturally lazy... ;)

It seriously isn't an issue though. If I end up taking it in the truck, Donnie lives 10 minutes away. I'm going to Terre Haute anyway, so why not take the tank?

ejsimcox
07/20/2004, 11:02 AM
DM, if it is a standard 55 gal, it should fit in my car.

I hope I'm a buyer :D

DensityMan
07/20/2004, 11:49 AM
I'll be looking to buy something I'm sure... ;)

Ed/ejsimcox: If there's a place to meet that is easy to see/get to from 70 let's meet there and I can convoy. Donnie's planning on bringing the tank over that morning or Shaw will be picking it up and I'll try to mooch a ride with him when he passes my way or catch his tail-wind and follow him out. I feel funny about just leaving my truck 'somewhere' and/or paying for parking. I'm just off the Emerson exit of 70 on the East-side.... ;) So don't rule me out completely, but I'm just looking to hear back from Shawn/Donnie first. :D

reeftechie
07/20/2004, 03:12 PM
Easy as pie

you will come to the first exit to Terre Haute Exit 11
you will exit there and head North or (right) at the stop light
you will go until you have to take a left or right (approx 6 miles).
Head West or Left at the light. That is Wabash Ave or US 40
take that until you get to 3rd street, you will again have to take a left of right, take a right on 3rd st (aka US41) you will go to the first light, hang a left, you will see the police station on your left. Go to the very next light, 1st street, hang a left heading south. You will go to the first street you see on the right hand side, and turn right there, go to the end of that gravel road and hang a left you will see the aluminum building there with signs saying Welcome to Inland Aquatics or some crap like that.

Have a fun time and watch out for cops from mile marker 40 to 11 they suck along there!

Here is a map, I think that is Cherry street, just go to the first stop light where you can make a left, and take it :D you cant miss it guys and girls

I always tell the "other half" that I'm not going to buy anything at Inland... But this time, I have a good excuse... We just started up her 125g FOWLR two weeks ago... I'm going to go for some uhmmm... sand bed diversity... Ya, that's a good excuse... :D

As for the reef tank, I'll prolly see if they got some pom pom xenia at a reasonable price...

This is odd. All of you are going to visit Inland and the man behind Inland (Morgan) won't even be there. He'll be here in Louisville the 23rd and 24th. Just thought I'd let you all know, just in case you were hoping to get the full treatment from Morgan.

Aged Salt

RT, do you know who will be doing the tour if Morgan is not going to be there?

AsSuMe
07/22/2004, 12:02 PM
Yeah, Morgan will be giving a frag seminar to the LMAS. Anthony Calfo and Stephen Pro will also be there. I would assume Melanie will give the tour, so you'll be in good hands. I just realized that I've been registered since Sept. '03 but this is only my second post.

reeftechie
07/22/2004, 01:12 PM
yep, Mike will be. He knows as much about that place as Morgan does, he is the second in charge guy there. Also Josh will be there, he is the guy that does everything, all Morgan does is Sign Checks at the end of the week, Trust me, I have been there way to many times to count, and have only talked to Morgan 4-5 times, he is never there, we aren't missing anything by him not being there. Josh does everything with the Phyto, rotifers, He is the Clown Mommy :D he does it all. It will be an awsome time thats for sure.

Melanie doesnt work there anymore and thank goodness she doesnt!

It sounds like a lot of us are bringing things to swap/sell/deliver on Saturday (myself included). Do you think we should hold off on the transactions b/w members until we get to our post-tour get-together (weren't we going to do dinner or something?). Is it just me or does it seem rude for us to be in their parking lot holding our own little swap meet? I propose that we hold off on the swapping until we get to whatever restaurant we're going to and do the trades in their parking lot.

reeftechie
07/22/2004, 02:10 PM
sounds good to me. I agree, might not look good if we are selling/trading in there lot, they might not like me after that, and we dont want that :D

castor
07/23/2004, 05:16 AM
Yeah, the trading can wait until after the tour. I'm bringing down a bunch of southdown sand, been posting about in another post, there will be about 7-8 bags left at the store, anybody else want a few while I'm at it?

Oh, also, anybody want some nice chaeto for free?

Castor,

I will gladly take a small pinch of that chaeto from you. I only need a small bit, as my fuge is a modified AC 150 HOB.

Also, I don't need an entire bag of sand, but if someone wants to bring me a small hand full of sand from their established tank to help diversify the sand bed in my nano, I would be appreciative. I will gladly give you a couple of bucks for the trouble (or buy you a beer afterwards!).

See you at Inland tomorrow!

yea- not sure if i am going to make it- it is 6 more hours of driving.

not every week you drive from Chicago to Nashville Tenn. to the Quad cities and back to chicago :) ugg i will see. i suspect i can catch it later... but don't know when next i will see all of you guys... anyone one going from somewhere north side of the state- that i could meet half way at thier place along 65 or something , to carpool like any one going down from purdue?

I think I can get everybody their sand, but I might be a bag short or two for ejsimcox, if so, would you still want how ever meany is left? (also depends on if any has been sold between wednesday and now)

btw, it is $6.99/bag + tax. Just asking for sale price, though I am having to drive it a ways so a buck or two extra would be nice. :)

I was thinking about this the other day, but I'm wondering if I am in a different time zone than inland coming from Fort Wayne.
