Jerry, you see the white PVC 90's at the top? Well those are the overflows and thats pretty much all there is to them. It's the same thing I had done on the 29. I liked it so much I decided to stick with it.

The plumbing is temp rigged at the moment but I'll be glad to get you a pic of it anyway, only 1 is actually functioning. With a little luck I may get the plumbing done this weekend. Are you using the hole you drilled for the overflow or is it for a closed loop or something? If the hole is for the overflow I have a little secret I've been keeping I'll share with you. I'll let the cat out of the bag if it's still valid after I get everything running full capacity. But for now the overflow is dead silent and so simple I still don't believe it.

Roy, thanx buddy. I'm loving the 75! Stretching my budget to get it going full stream with lights and everything I need but I'm surely loving it. I thought it would look fairly baren after the transfer but it filled out rather nicely. I'm becoming more and more addicted by the day. I had almost planned on going fishless until the lavender tang (nellie) stole my heart. The personality that fish can have is amazing. She'll eat out of my hand and has started rubbing up against the glass when I walk up to the tank after getting home. Reminds me of a cat rubbing against your legs when they want attention. At first I thought it was a sign of the ich but it's only right when I get home and she wants to eat. BTW, both tangs have recovered wonderfully from the ich with just the garlic. They never left the tank and there hasn't been a single sign for over 2 weeks.

the 55? well what I thought was going to be FO is quickly turning into a reef plan. I've been informed that it will need an anemone for "nemo" and "lil bit" Tawnya's 2 ocellaris, and then some. There went the simple cheap FO I thought I would be dealing with. When the womans happy, so am I. :D But to answer your question, it's a bit behind my sig. Right now it's a baren wasteland of RO/DI but it will be getting salt tonight! I'm trying to get Tawnya to pick out a substrate!

Legal Disclaimer:
whatever becomes of the 55 is not my fault, I told Tawnya she can have "ANYTHING" she wants, I will make it work (famous last words). I'm already planning out a HOB fuge because I may need a place to store the LR, So if you have any thoughts about selling yours please let me know before I have yet another build on my hands. :)

Cool sounds like every thing is on the up and up....and clowns arnt bad ..by this time next year its my goal to be raising baby clowns....Ill move the majority of my fish out of the 75 so the clowns can have some privacy and start nesting....I, still debating how im going going to do the 240 even thought of going smaller to a 6 foot tank...with a clam tank fuge in the middle of the 75 and the fish only....who knows...but then agen i like the idea of having a 8 foot tank for the tangs to jet acrost with...

I know that, so indecisive. Nellie just gets up to speed and shes got to shut it down short in the 4 footer

just got back from petco BTW. Bit the bullet and bought as bag of the aragrolive. tawnya doesn't want an ooltic sand like I put in the 75 so it should mix with about whatever sub she decides upon and will get the ball rolling.

easy as pie Jerry.

heres a quick sketch, you've got the 90 with a small sec of 1" pvc to accomodate the slip BH, BH through the glass, then anoth piece of 1" to accomodate once again, followed by a T. 1 section of the T is stubbed off higher than the water lvl, the bottom side routes to the sump.

I was thinking the same thing you were at first but I was concerned that it would be a noisy sob.

and don't worry about not having enough surface extraction, I'm only running about 200gph for now and it's already more than enough to keep the surface clear, thats something I was originally concerned about when I did the 29.

You'll love it, theres so little room taken up and I'll never go back to an internal box if I can help it. Now if we can just find some blue or black colored PVC......

Thats a Tubastrea Faulkneri (sunflower coral) Georgeous isn't she?

They require very little lighting but lots of feeding. Feeding must be done manually and it must be fed polyp by polyp for each is a seperate entity. A daunting task but it's beauty is my reward. I feed mine mysis or selcon soaked brine every other day.

oh and I got her from exotic tropicals in Rogers. They also usually have a couple at H2Ocean in Bryant. I could prob make sure they have a nice one waiting for you if you make it to the meeting this month.
